Little Big Econ State Forest gets its name from the Little Econlockhatchee River and the larger Econlockhatchee which both flow through it. 9,563 acres in size, this forest is home to a number of different hiking trails.
From Downtown Orlando, take 408 East to 417, and go North to the Red Bug Lake Road exit. Go East on Red Bug (name will change to Mitchell Hammock) to Lockwood Rd, turn Left and then Right at the next light, CR 419, aka Chuluota Rd. Follow 419 several miles, find Snow Hill Road on the left. Follow Snow Hill, you will see a sign entering the State Forest, bicycle trailhead is just under 1 mile past that sign on the left. Drive time from Orlando close to 30 min.
